SA Powerlifting has taken note of the correspondence at National and Provincial level regarding the Corona virus, and we would like to report that all International, National, Provincial and Club powerlifting events scheduled to take place over the next few months have been postponed. This includes:

1. SA Bench Press Championships, Port Elizabeth 21 March
2. World Masters Classic and Equipped Powerlifting Championships, Sun City, 23April-3May
3. All Club competitions, including
- KZN Club Competition, Durban 28 March
- Gauteng School of Strength Double Deadlift Club Competition, Johannesburg 4 April
- All WC club competitions for March and April

4. Arnold Classic Africa Powerlifting events, 15-17 March

We join in the hope that these stringent measures will help to produce the desired positive effect on the spread of the disease over the next few months, and look forward to a return to competitive events once the restrictions have been lifted.
